Dr. Deb Peters
Dr. Deb Peters completed her undergraduate studies in Dental Hygiene and Biology at Ferris State University and is a 1993 graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Dr. Deb is a member of the West Michigan District Dental Society, Kent County Dental Society, Michigan Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Chicago Dental Society. She is a respected leader in her profession at a local, state, and national level. Dr. Deb is Past President of the West Michigan District Dental Society, past chair of the American Dental Associationís Council on Membership,and past chair of the Michigan Dental Associationís Committee on the New Dentist. She completed an incredible nine year run as the first female Speaker of the House of the Michigan Dental Association in early 2017.

In 2017, Dr. Deb was elected President-Elect of the Michigan Dental Association. Over a 3 year period she will serve as President-Elect, President, and Immediate Past President. On the national level, Dr. Deb has represented District 9 (Michigan and Wisconsin) to the American Dental Association House of Delegates for over 20 years.

Dr. Deb has been recognized by her peers, receiving the Michigan Dental Association New Dentist Leadership Award in 2002. She was also accepted into the American College of Dentists in 2001 and the International College of Dentists in 2006 after being nominated by her peers. Both organizations are dedicated to excellence, ethics, leadership, and professionalism.

Active in the community, Dr. Deb volunteers with the Interfaith Hospitality Network which helps the homeless by providing short-term housing and assisting with long-term housing and employment solutions. Dr. Deb also serves as Moderator at her church and chairs the church Council. In her spare time, Dr. Deb enjoys knitting, scrapbooking, running, and yoga.

Drs. Peters met and got married during dental school. Theyíve been personal and professional partners ever since working together as a husband /wife team. They live right in the community they serve and are now empty nesters as their children Madison and Kyle are both away at college.

Dr. Liz White
Dr. Liz White received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Albion College before completing her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2012. Dr. Liz then went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Liz is a member of the West Michigan District Dental Society, the Michigan Dental Association, the American Dental Association, as well as the Chicago Dental Society.

Enthusiasm and a strong work ethic during her residency enabled Dr. Liz to succeed and be a valuable asset to treating patients at the University of Nebraska Medical Center as well as at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Omaha. The residency program provided Dr. Liz with an invaluable education that has trained her to deliver comprehensive dental care with full consideration of the patientís dental and medical needs.

After finishing her residency program, Dr. Liz decided to move back home to Michigan and she chose to settle on the wonderful West side of our state. Says Dr. Liz: ďI could not be happier with my career choice thus far. Every day is different and challenging, which makes it fun for me to go to work and interact with patients.Ē Outside of dentistry, Dr. Liz enjoys spending time with family and friends, being by the Lake in the summer, and skiing in the winter. She is a big fan of all Detroit sports teams. Dr. Liz is also very athletic and was a state champion doubles tennis player while in high school. Peters Family Dentistry was thrilled to have Dr. Liz join the team in 2013.

Dr. Liz recently completed the Michigan Dental Association Leadership Exploration and Development Program (LEAD Program) and is serving the profession as a member of the MDA Committee on Membership.

Dr. Dan Peters
Dr. Dan Peters received an undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Michigan before completing his dental training at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1993. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, West Michigan District Dental Society, Kent County Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Dan served for many years on the Michigan Dental Association Committee on Annual Session (chairing in 2000) which plans and runs the state dental convention each year. He is also past chair of the West Michigan District Dental Society Committee on Membership and served as Editor of the organizationís publication The Bulletin. In addition, Dr. Dan is past chair of the local New Dentist Forum.

Honored by his peers, Dr. Dan received the Michigan Dental Association New Dentist Leadership Award in 1999, and was inducted into the American College of Dentists in 2001.

Currently Dr. Dan serves as the Chair of Development of the Michigan Dental Association Foundation which is an organization dedicated to the betterment of the health of the residents of Michigan by increasing access to dental care in underserved populations.

Unfortunately, a severe wrist injury ended Dr. Danís clinical career in 2012. He remains involved in management decisions of the practice and serves as a ďMr. FixitĒ around the office. Dr. Dan is excited to be working as a Job Coach/Lifestyle Coach to Dentists. When asked what he does, Dr. Dan replies that he is a teacher, mentor, coach, friend, colleague, and accountability partner to his dentist colleagues. His position allows him to work on business and clinical principles with his clients while always keeping an eye on the importance of striking the proper balance between work and family. It also allows him to spend a lot of donated time with dental students which he particularly enjoys.Dr. Dan sincerely hopes that his involvement in this capacity allows him to leave a legacy of service in the dental profession that he loves so much.

Dr. Dan is a passionate fisherman and enjoys collecting unusual fishing lures. You are also likely to see him walking all around the neighborhood by the office with the family dog most every morning.

Mo--Registered Dental Assistant
Hello! I am Registered Dental Assistant and graduated from Grand Rapids Community College in 2008. As an RDA I keep busy setting up and preparing for patients, assisting our Doctors during treatment, and I help to maintain rooms and instruments. I also enjoy meeting new people at our office every day. In my spare time I enjoy beekeeping, gardening, and reading.

Stacey--Registered Dental Hygienist
Hi, Iím Stacey. I am a Registered Dental Hygienist. I graduated from GRCC in 2014. I joined the PFD family in February of 2016. What I love most about my job is meeting new people and providing care and education to improve our patients oral and overall health.

When Iím not at the office, I love spending time with my husband Ethan and our son Judah. I also enjoy exercising, reading, and backpacking when the weather is warm.

Stephanie--Registered Dental Hygienist
Hi! My name is Stephanie. I am a Registered Dental Hygienist and graduated from Grand Rapids Community College in 2013. Preventive care is my number one goal. I want all our patients to feel confident about their smiles and I strive to not only educate but help you maintain that healthy smile.

When Iím not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dogs. I also enjoy reading, running, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Sarah--Registered Dental Assistant
Hi, Iím Sarah. I Earned both my certification and license as a Registered Dental Assistant through Washtenaw Community College in 2000. In January of 2014 I made my move to Grand Rapids after working in my home town Saginaw office for 17 years. What I enjoy about dental assisting is the variety that comes with the job. Every day is a new and different learning experience.

Outside of the office I enjoy recycling art, gardening at home, traveling to new places, and spending time with family and friends. I look forward to being a long career at Peters Family Dentistry and building relationships with our great patients.

Sarah W--Registered Dental Assistant
Hello! My name is Sarah. I am a Registered Dental Assistant. I work two days a week and split my time between assisting the doctors and helping out at the business desk. I earned my RDA from Washtenaw Community College in 2004 and have been in the dental field since 2001. I love dentistry and I love people.

In my free time I enjoy serving at my church and spending time with my husband and two daughters. We love to spend time outdoors camping, hiking, and riding bikes.

Katie--Financial Coordinator
Hi! I am Katie. I graduated from Grand Rapids Community College as a Registered Dental Assistant in 2001. I worked as an RDA at Peters Family Dentistry since 2008 before making the transition to my current position as the Financial Coordinator in 2015. In addition to scheduling and confirming appointments, I help our patients determine what their insurance companies will cover and I make financial arrangements for our patients. More than anything else, I strive to make our patients feel welcome and well cared for from the minute they arrive to the minute they leave the office.

In my spare time, I enjoy travelling and spending time with my husband and son. You will also catch Dr. Deb and I discussing recipes and meal ideas from time to time!

Linda--Appointment Coordinator
Hello! My name is Linda and I am the appointment coordinator. I joined the Peters Family Dentistry family in 2001. It is my goal to help patients with scheduling, referrals, financial and insurance needs. I enjoy creating a warm and friendly environment for our patients. When I am not in the office, I enjoy traveling, reading, stamping cards and spending time with family.
